Drug Description of Pentobarbital

Pentobarbital is in a group of drugs called barbiturates (bar-BIT-chur-ates). Nembutal functions are sedative, hypnotic for short term, preanesthetic and control of convulsions in emergencies. It is also used as a veterinary anesthetic agent.
